Dogs get their own food truck

Woofbowl is the intersection of art, culture, and modern dog-dining. And it’s not what people expect. They expect raw hides, kibble, or biscuits made from flour and water and Woofbowl makes anything but that.

The founders, D.C. veteran Ron Holloway and his wife Solo, a husband and wife team, make treats made from real food. Using healthy whole food and superfood ingredients they create burgers, nuggets, ice cream donuts, dog beer and more that look remarkably like mini human food truck fare.

“We became dog parents because Ron suffers from PTSD. We read about dogs doing amazing working to help veterans deal with their symptoms, so eight years ago we got two French Bulldogs one year apart,” Solo Holloway says.

They typically park at breweries, festivals, multifamily residential properties, dog birthday parties, stadium/arena events. You may find where they are week to week by following them on social media or on their website calendar as they don’t have a set location or regularly scheduled post, because the convenient thing about them is they’re mobile.

Ron Holloway says, “Woofbowl cares about our communities and environment. We celebrate and strengthen each community through serving and supporting a local experience, investment in non-profits, and a conscious commitment to our local producers and partners.”
