UDC SPRING BLING: A 2000s throwback celebration!
Spring is here, and that means it’s time to bring the heat with UDC SPRING BLING! This year, we’re turning back the clock to the fabulous 2000s, and we want you to join us for a week filled with fun, fashion, and unforgettable memories.
From April 7th to April 12, 2025, the District of Columbia will come alive with a series of exciting events celebrating the vibrant spirit of the 2000s. Dust off those airbrushed tees, pull out your best Y2K outfits, and get ready to embrace the ultimate spring turn-up!
So far, the festivities have kicked off with a bang. Students shared their enthusiasm at the Flames and Fame Karaoke/Awards Night on April 7th. “It felt amazing to relive those classic hits! I haven’t sung karaoke in years, and last night was such a blast,” said Emily, a sophomore.
The Spring Bling Carnival on April 8 was another highlight. “The carnival was so much fun! I loved the games and the retro vibe. It really took me back to my childhood,” remarked Jordan, a junior.
We also had the Career Expo on April 8, where students were eager to network and explore professional opportunities. “It was great to connect with potential employers while also enjoying the 2000s theme,” said Mia, a senior.
On April 9, we rolled into the “Roll Out” Skate Night, where students showed off their best skating moves while grooving to classic 2000s tracks.
Then, on April 10, join us for the Throwback Thursday Party at 8:00 p.m. “I can’t wait to see everyone’s outfits! The energy is going to be electric,” shared Tyler, a freshman.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! On April 11, participate in “Y2Play” Field Day at 12:00 p.m., followed by the Greeknik: A UDC Greek Cookout on April 12 at 3:00 p.m.
